You can get much better cars for under £2k than a saxo VTR.

Yes the VTR is a much better car than the VTR, but if you wan't all round performance go for the VTR.


Phase 1 VTRs have 90 BHP
Phase 2 VTRs have 100 BHP
The VTS has 120 BHP and 8 more valves.

The alternatives are the 106 XSI, Rallye and GTI. They are pretty much the same car but with a better image IMO.

You can do a hell of a lot better than a Saxo for £2k.

Don't forget that the Phase 2 VTRs with the back seats folded down and the tyres pumped up to 50psi are quicker than any VTS and will give you a better power to wight ratio....
