Other than a few good stories (rehashed long drive supplement) is this months issue rubbish?

I mean for example...

Arash Farbourd's "New" Supercar with virtual specs and release date....With all due respect to the chap, come on, how many cars/stories have there been over the last few years about this supposed car(s)?

Virtual RS5 vs M3 clash....a photoshopped RS5 on the road vs a M3? That's a filler article for Autocar magazine, not a front page spread? Isn't this a re-write of RS4 vs M3 from a few years back?

Am I being picky or this month a slow news month?

I'm going back to read Grazia.........

Not the worst edition, but thought this was a bit poor: "New AUDI RS5, V8 turbo coupe: at last an M3-beater?" on the cover only to find out they haven't driven it, when the cover implies a comparison test.......

Car used to be really good, then about two years ago there was a change in direction and now it's rubbish. Bought this month's copy and regretted it. Won't make that mistake again.

I was looking at this month's CAR and the latest Autocar for an agreeable read earlier (I've worn out the latest EVO), and I bought Autocar as the "headlines" on the front of CAR failed to excite me in the same way an Emmerdale omnibus does.

"RS5"???? I thought.

You're lying.

I loved the road test in Autocar of the Phantom Coupe cloud9

The RS5-M3 story was shamefully bad journalism. They haven't driven it. They don't know what it's specifications will be. They haven't tested it agianst an M3.

CAR is for when there is no other option and it's perhaps the only motoring read in the departure lounge shop. It's not far above the Maxpower type mags in the pecking order. Btw, why have these kids car magazines seemed to have turned so heavily towards ICE and styling to fill the pages in recent years, insurance costs for performance mods or is the youth of today more interested in show than go?

What annoys me most about CAR is the 'advertising features' they put in. The 5 page spread, slotted in to appear as a legit review / piece when it is in fact a big effing advert. furious

I don't think they even guessed particularly well what the spec of the RS5 will be: turbo V8 with 450 bhp. If they do turbo the RS4/R8 V8, surely it would gain more than an extra 35 bhp?

Whatever, coming out 2 to 3 years after the M3, the RS5 will have to be good.

Back to Car: I bought it for the first time for ages - as others have said, a mistake.
