What's the best way to send an alloy block Mi16 to Portugal? It's a total weight of 150kgs once palleted up.

Best way means what? Cheapest, quickest, easiest?

Borrow a van and drive it there?

Make sure you insure it for the price it is worth. I discovered that the policy with the courier only covered on a £/Kg basis, when my step father in law had a RV8 go missing on the way to France. I think they payed out at about £1 / Kg. Box it rather than pallet would be my suggestion, you have to hide these things form the toe-rags in the warehouses.

Just a reasonable priced reliable courier would do. Any guesses on cost?

150kgs (80cm X 60cm X 80 cm)

DHL EXPRESS WORLDWIDE 1 day £1048.40
DHL EXPRESS 12:00 1 day £1106.25

Ouch.
Can anyone do any better? It's not urgent but I can only seem to get a price for 1 day delivery from DHL.

Where in Portugal ?

I live in the Algarve, and have had a few big heavy things shipped down here at a reasonable cost. If it's the Algarve, then you just need to get the pallet to Andover, and then it cost you about £120 if it's under one cubic metre.

Madeira, still waiting for the full address. If it can be done for under £200 then great.

Suggesting that Madeira is in Portugal is a bit like suggesting that Gibraltar is in England.

Not really 'Portugal' then is it, even though it's Portuguese-administrated.

I'd suggest shipping it there will be the best, speak to some shipping companies and see what they will do.

You mean an African Swallow. It could grip it by the husk.
