help on mk4 astra speedo

can any one tell me if i can take the clocks out of my mk4 astra its just a standard 1.6 8v the clocks lay out is one center speedo with one smaller one either side of it <temp> and <fuel>
can i swap these crap ones for a set with a rev counter and will all the functions work ??

Surely, replacement with a sun dial and knotted rope will do the job................

If you havent got a rev counter on the current ones you'll need to check if the wiring is there for one. Chances are it will be if a standard loom was fitted. If not, you're wiring skills might get tested. Pin from ECU or feed from the coil (I dont know the engine)
