Sorry for the suidide-inducingly boring nature of this topic, but...

Here in sunny Bristol we have bus lanes that can be used by busses, coaches, taxis, motorbikes and pushbikes.

Where on the signs does it say "and van drivers"?

Yours,

slightly fuming

Ah... but didn't you know van drivers have their own Highway Code?

It's written on the back of the Daily Star if you look very carefully.

If you buy yourself a bus, your own private bus, can you use the bus lanes?

Yes you can - some people in London buy black cabs for just such a thing!

Unfortunately it has to be licensed cabs - although apparently you do get away with it.

I've heard that if your vehicle has 9 seats and you register it as a bus, you can drive around london in it, with no passengers and be exempt from the Kengestion charge!

Another thing which is beginning to pi$$ me off with bus lanes is the fact that buses insist on pulling out into the regular lane grinding traffic to a halt. STAY IN THE BUS LANE YOU CNUTS.... the b'stards would be the first to complain if I drove in the bus lane wouldn't they. Arse.
