At the ever present risk of ridicule I decided to share this incident from Saturday.

I took the bike out for a little hoon, with the OH on the back around the more remote parts of Luxembourg.

Left my village, into NSL, followed by an old beat up Fiesta.

Go into the next village and slowed down to the posted 50 km/h limit.

The Fiesta is now sitting hard on my back wheel, the driver flashing his lights and waving at me to move over, trying to push past. I am in a queue of traffic, even if he gets past me he is stuck behind the other cars. The waving isn't 'This is an emergency, I need to pass' it is 'Get out of my way I want to go faster'. Proper aggresive driving, hand gestures and full-on red face.

Leave the village, after about 200 yrds, road splits. 99 out of 100 cars will go on the new by-pass, I go down the old twisty road, same destination.

The Fiesta follows me, closely.

Into the twists, I wave at Fiesta (a proper wave, no one fingered salutes), and to put it bluntly, sod off into the distance. Quickly.

Anyway, I get to the end of the twisty section and get into another town. The Fiesta catches up in the 50km/h limt, puts two wheels up on a grass embankment and tries to push past on the inside. The car is less than a foot from my OH's legs and closing. The car in front, somehow sees this and swings onto the verge blocking the Fiesta forcing it to stop.

I may have been a little angry.

I slung the bike onto its stand and jumped off leaving the OH on the pillion seat and go back to the Fiesta asking What the foock he thought he was playing at.

Out jumps a mid fifties guy, 5'5" tall armed with a riding crop. He proceeds to start to whip me shouting I must drive faster in towns.

Now I am wearing full leathers, a crash helmet and race gloves, I cannot feel this riding crop at all.

Until he catches my neck........

He gets a straight jab to the nose, I take the riding crop and break it into 3.

He is now screaming at me with a bloody nose 'Take off you hat so I can hit you' I am thinking 'If I take off my lid I am going to brain you with it'

We have now gathered quite an crowd of on-lookers.

I turn round and go back to his car, He is screaming nonsense at me about running away.

I calmly take his keys from the ignition. At this point he realises something is up and jumps on my back, full piggy back hitting top of my helmet.

I walk to the side of the road, he si still on my back and throw the keys over the 12' fence into the largest collection of stinging nettles I have ever seen.

He goes apoplectic! Running round screaming at anyone who is looking on, all of whom are laughing their heads off at him.

Guy from car in front asks if I need any help? Look back at the Fiesta driver, 'No thanks, think he is done'

Get on bike and leave to applause, guy from Fiesta last seen searching for missing keys in the nettles having gone round the fence, shame there was a gate. Still shouting.

Am still laughing about it now.

Just had to share!

Anyone else got proper bizzare road rage stories?

Some strange people out there that's for sure. Just keep an eye out for him in the future, in case of retaliation..

Nothing worse than a sanctimonious biker. We have to put up with them tailgating us on the highways, headlights on full beam in the middle of the day, cutting and weaving in front of us and generally being an utter nuisance.

And then, when we hit an urban area, they decide to sit at exactly the speed limit, right in the middle of the lane, rather than along the white lines where they usually live, making car users endure more two-wheeled arrogance.

Ahh excellent read that!

Ok so I had my window down as my ac isn't working. Approaching roundabout, never been there before, and I find I need to change lanes. So I signal and begin my merging when this Vectra starts flashing and horning, I calmly ignore. Now I am in the left lane, this vectra pulls out into the right lane still flashing, puts his window down, starts shouting in this heavy turkish accent saying, " eh eh what you doin, I eat you $hit yea " , I just have the most confused look on my face as wtf is this guy on, again he shouts " I eat yur st ya", wtf and we move on.

That actually cheered me up this morning.

I know you're not supposed to do these things, and in the UK the are frowned upon, but from what you've said, he deserved it and playing silly buggers with a biker is a no no.

Good job!

Good use of grammar and punctuation. Clearly defined paragraphs and a good, funny story… I think you’re barking up the wrong tree OR, you may have the mother of hangovers.

I'm not a biker, but not sure I agree with your opinion. Generally speaking bikers are okay and make good progress through traffic. Headlights on is to give us a chance to see them (I sometimes do the same in my Elise, albeit dipped beam). Sitting below or at the speed limit in urban areas is absolutely fine too, and is the right thing to do.

Like any form of motoring, there'll no doubt be the odd exception who will be a nutter, but no different from some car drivers being a nutter.

PS Great story by the way !!

I was only teasing the OP - I thought the story was very funny and, am sure, hilarious to have seen 'live' smile

I recall someone telling a story of a horrific jam on an A road (probably south to cornwall on a bank hol). Traffic north was flowing reasonable freely.

Biker with missus on the back is carefully filtering between the static lane south and the moving lane north.

A car takes exception to this, and moves out to cover the centre line.
Lady gets off the bike, walks round to the drivers side, pushes the driver out the way though the open window and removes the car keys....
...and tosses them onto a flatbed going the other way at 40mph...

I assume this is an urban legend, but I still like it.

It's a response to driving about in a small plastic death wagon - I used to to do the same in my Black Westy.
