changing details on car insurance

I will be getting a van soon for commuting to and from work. I guess I need to tell my insurers that I will no longer be needing a car to do this and that I will be driving another vechile.

But, is it likely that ill recieve a wee bit money back because of these changes or have to pay more?

Depends what your driving at the moment, if your driving a car on a private car policy and want a van for sd+p use, be ready for a surprise, most company's wont quote on vans for sd+p use. If your current company do quote, i would expect you would have to cancel your current policy and take a new one out on a com-vehicle policy.
