Cars that increase in value?

I was looking at old ford cortina's yesterday and they seem to be expensive for an "old" car. 4-5k IIRC.
Classic Fords - especially Cortinas - have seen a massive jump in values over the past few years, especially when compared to the BL rivals of their day. You won't see many £4k Princesses out there and Fords often get better money than similar aged Jags and the like. I think its the 'Life On Mars' effect. I was epecting a similar jump for Anglias when the Harry Potter film came out but that didn't transpire. Different audience, I suppose. However everything is dependent on condition. An old shed is still an old shed and the stuff getting top money is in top condition. How this all pans out in the coming months and years - well thats anyone's guess.
Audi A2 1.4 TDI?
People used to think it was pointless but it seems to be commming back into fashion. What other cars from that 2000-era qualify for £35/year tax, do 65mpg+ and still hit 60mph in less than 11 seconds thanks to the alluminium body. And no the Toyota Prius dosent count
