Has anyone actually sold a car via Pistonheads

There's a massive choice that's changing daily but who has actually managed to sell there car on here? I ask as I have advertised both of our cars on here in recent Months and not had a single sniff on either.

Sold three through here over the years - a Saab 900, a Rover Coupe and a RX7.

However I would think car sales will be slow given the economy and also it's the run in to Christmas...

I always get calls about them when I have just sold them typical really.

My manager sold his RX8 via it though.

"you shoudl look at this pistonheads site rob if you want to sell the GTI, its pretty good" little does he know I spend more time in this than I do our company database

Yep. Helped my parents sell their car here. I suggested they put it on here before paying for an autotader ad and the car was gone within 3 weeks thanks to the classifieds section.

Sold my S2000 and Focus ST on here. No problems at all and both were bought by enthusiasts!

Sold an Esprit in about three hours 26k, an Exige and a Harley Davidson. All very promptly.

I think the most importanat thing is that youve got to be realistic with car prices, look at whats wrong or undesireable about your car and you will see it from the buyers perspective.

(That is to say, that the chap that rang up 15 mins after I posted the Ad subsequently bought it).
