Great news. Val Shawcross has the unenviable task of trying to argue that getting rid of something (by public mandate) which never made money, was roundly rejected by the majority of Londoners, frustrated small businesses, and failed to achieve any of its spurious environmental objectives is a "foolish and backward step".
It's a brilliant move which, I would wager, will do more for London's SME's than the cut in VAT. Well done Boris.

Good to see a politician actually do what they said they would do in their pre-election pledges - in this case, put it to the vote and go with what the majority wanted.
