Well, daddys little girl now has a car.
I had to make do with a £25 HA Viva .....
She's had 10 off road lessons with an ADI, via the IAM young drvers scheme, three lessons so far on road, her ADI is also a senior observer in my local group, and now its my turn to be "terrified in the passenger seat"
She's worked, saved, and bought this car herself.
It is insured Via Quin ( I don't really care if they are good or not, its only 3rd party fire & theft, with windscreen and legal cover) £507 for the year. Hopefully she'll have a years no claims, a dsa test pass and pass plus by the time this policy runs out.

I'm guessing that the insurance is in your name just until she passes her test and then it will be changed into her name along with the V5, which should be in your name aswell if you've insured it.
No chaps......the car is in her name.....the insurance is in her name.

Dont forget she is also on a provisional, they know it can only be driven under supervision, supervision being by an adult who has held a full licence for three years.

I am told they aren't very good on the customer service side if you claim, but that'll not be an issue with a TPFT policy, I just want her legal as cheaply as possible for her first year.

especially if you want info on belt replacement / leaky door carriers / gen info on the furby . There's several techs on there with free advice etc ,and plenty of places /dealers offering cut price spares etc . And there's quite a few females on there .

edit - that is a complete and utter joke by the way no wonder so many young drivers go without insurance.
