Considering that the whole system is geared up to work on the basis that the whole system is infallible this has to make you wonder how many rather less obvious blunders have been made.
And let's not forget the case in America where a radar gun was pointed at the courtroom wall - and registered a speed!
Yet another example of what a load of crap this 'safety camera' bollocks really is.

You have to wonder, don't you Graham.
There are thousands of these cameras all over the UK now. It's quite believable that when there were few, the police forces in charge coveted them and made sure they were all properly calibrated.
But since there are now so many, all of which are maintained by few men on a tight budget by external contractors, corners must be cut and calibration is probably no longer taken all that seriously. Particularly since magistrates now reject all protestations of calibration error out of hand.
So there could be many miscarriages of justice occuring, even if they're marginal.

s out of the scamera partnerships, don't make it too easy for them to get back at you!I can't see anyway that they can send her an amended ticket. You can't charge someone with an offence, then change your mind about the details. That original charge must stick, and be allowed to go through the judicial process. If they send her a ticket showing 48mph, she has evidence to show she was doing 480mph!
