R57 Mini Convertible
Discussion
So we had a thread on the JCW version, which was a bit biased as they are too expensive IMO.
However today I drove the new one, back to back with a few other cars Fiat 500, Fiesta, and I was very impressed!!
IT quite easily wins out of those two cars, as it should being more expensive, but I just wanted to say how much of an improvement they have made with this car over the last shape!!
Anyone interested in the car? anyone already driven it?
Lets have a chat!!

Not driven the new convertible, but if its anything like the R56 I'd expect nothing less than best in class. Combination of sweet free revving petrols and the go-kart like handling make it a superb drivers car.
Yes, it was their aim, but it really did highlight how much better the mini was than two of its competitors (500, Fiesta) And it showed how bad the Fiat is, the engine was terrible (1.4 16v) it felt slower than a r56 mini one!!But yes the convertible was good, roof now operational upto 20 mph, boot bigger, better seats, bike rack compatibility. Good little car.

Drove one maybe a year ago. Kinda like an R56 with a soft top!
How?
I didn't realise they were any in the UK at the moment, let alone a year ago. The car was only unveiled a matter of weeks ago.

If the boot wasn't bigger it would be misnamed and a potential claim under trades descriptions. A 1959 Mini had a much bigger boot, and you couldn't get much in those.Gassing Station | General Gassing [Archive] | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff

That's what it needs to be though
