insurance advice

My existing van insurance runs out this week and i was sent a renewal notice through recently, the premiumn was crazy to say the least so i started looking at other insurers straight away.
Anyway on their letter it says
'If you do not wish to renew you must tell us AT LEAST 5 DAYS BEFOREHAND'

Of course though i forgot like an idiot and now have a letter here thanking me for my custom? And all the forms to fill out etc.Along with the usual threats saying i must not cancel etc.

I,ll ring them in the morning but have they got me? or is it possible to halt the renewal, afterall the existing policy isn't up yet and there only grounds for renewal is me not contacting them.

Btw its a premiumn for 2k which is why i,m so bothered about it!

Have you insured the van elsewhere?

if you have just send them a copy of the insurance doc, and tell that you cannot insure with them as it is illegal to have two policies.

If not, you should have sorted insurance out and they have done you a favour.

i have sorted out the new policy and funnily enough was going to call them tomorrow too commence it.

have cslmed down a bit now
