Not sure what everyone thinks, but our cat was hit by a car a few weeks ago, whoever did it drove off and left him to die in the middle of the road.
Someone happened to see him dragging himself towards our house, stopped, moved him off the road and knocked on our door. In the panic that followed we did not get their contact details so we could let them know how he is.
So we've set up a website to try to find them, it's on.

There is a webcam and a 'Leave Frank a message' section.
Please take a look, leave him a get well message and pass it on to anyone who miht have been in Cambridge on Tuesday the 29th of Jan.

Hope your moggy is okay & this turns out not to be the cat-astrophe it might have been - it's enough to make you howl with Furry..
I did paws to consider how my cats loaf about in the road when it's sunny - and I expect there's a claws in my animal insurance about that.. Have you been in touch with the local mewspapers?

Dull it might be but I can't help keep clicking back to it .. perhaps a testament to how dull my day has been (that and the fact that I've found time to write to my MP and to Michael Meacher - I hope you do too Mel!) ..

All the best to your cat. One of our mogs was knocked down outside our house last year. Touch and go for a week or so and ended up having the ol' tail removed, plus now has slightly dodgy back legs, but still loves life and catching birds etc and bringing them in thru the flap.
Trouble is, they have a big collection of nerves just at the base of the tail controlling when they pee etc, any damage to this and the poor bugger doesn't know when to go and then I'm afraid its time for the long sleep.
Luckily ours recovered quite well. Cost a good few hundred in vets fees mind but I'd have paid double, no, treble. Worth every penny the ol' mates are.
Going to view the ol' webcam when I can.

Thats not very nice (although it has been suggested a number of times!), if you are bored read some of the messages he's had there are some very strange people out there (says the man who has just written a website for his cat). We've also now got "refer a friend" and a picture gallery so if you are really bored you can draw him a picture to brighten his cage up!

Domster, the reasons behind that are years ago when we had Dog Licenses dogs had to be "recognised" in the eyes of the law as existing as a legal entity, therefore if you run one over technically it falls under tha catagory as causing injury. Don't know if you can be charged with causing death by reckless etc if you hit a dog ??
Is this actually a live picture, or a camera pointing at a picture of a cat ? Only it doesn't appear to move much, does it ?
I like the prod idea, alternatively, how about a water drip, Chinese Torture style ? My bloody cats keep drinking the water feature in our lounge dry, the ba$tards, despite the fact there's water in a bowl for them (Why ? Why ??).
Only way to stop 'em is to switch the damn thing on, mid-slurp. That tends to stop them !

And with tht sort of fame in the offing, you'd think Frank would get off his lazy arse from time to time.
What about a wire from the mains to the cage, switched on and off by interested viewers?
