From the grumpy hobbies thread....

http://www.betterdrivingplease.com/Reports.asp

Just punch your reg in and hit return! I was strangely disappointed that none of my last 4 cars annoyed anyone on that website. hehe

Annoyingly I'm not on there yet despite my best efforts.

I think we should all join and keep accusing one numberplate of bad driving? Maybe find out what Lewis Hamiltons No. plate is and keep putting up posts about it?

I'd consider it a badge of honour to be named and shamed on that site full of nitpicking feckwits. Do you think they have bumper stickers to allow identification for TPAC purposes?

One chap appears to have been on a motorway recently, and included every single car exceeding 80mph. At least he's kindly bestowed the ACPO speed allowance, in any case.

I wonder if the users list their own reg plates somewhere on the site, maybe some hunting down and annoying might be in order.

I wrote a nice letter to the owner of that site informing him that if my vehicle came up there would be a libel suit following within seven days....... He got a bit defensive......

ETA - I also noted that there were no comments in respect of old duffers pottering along under the limit or sticking to 42mph everywhere.. I wonder if that's now changed. If not, I rather think it tells us all we need to know.

I posted this on the other thread, but it seems Stephen Harrison is Birmingham's biggest loser; if i knew where he lived, I would award hima prize for taking his civic suty so seriously! biggrin

Bet he's on the waiting list to become a traffic warden!

Anyway, the site said about me:

rear plate - very tight between the ones. Impossible to tell at speed or a distance if it's 111 or 1111. As it was stationary, stuck in traffic, and I was standing still, I got a good look at it. <<

As I said before....legit plate, supplied with vehicle...

It is a private reg, so I presume that's what's really got old Stevey's goat!

There really are some strange folks about!

I was trying to remember my former bosses plate, I would be very surprised if his monaro wasn't mentioned several times.

How about an SAS style attack on that site? Log in and report people for not getting up to the speed limit, driving aimlessly, owning a Pious etc?

I did submit a few, none of them got added for some unknown reason, including the old p***k in the volvo who pulled out on me in an NSL single lane road with about 40ft to spare, I am glad the Passat had ABS and if I'd had the dogs or anything in the car we'd have been in trouble.... I think you can guess how hard he accelerated, and upto what terminal velocity.

I reported a couple of the local 42mph everywhere brigade, including my helpful comment that 30 limits apply to them as well......

I rather think it's clear that the site isn't about better driving at all, but about interfering old feckers who can't drive for squat and have the reaction time of a glacier and the observation skills of a mole to moan about people driving fast and loud cars.

I don't know what's worse; the contributors to the site or us for reading its content!

People are too busy minding other people's business these days.

As I said after being flagged down by a dogwalker (who'd let his blind old dog wander into the road): 'Do I tell you how to walk? No. Then don't tell me how to fking drive.'

ETA: I tried the link and after much deliberation the address bar said 'about:blank'. Looks like the owner has realised he may be breaking a law...

The thing is that 95% of the reports on there are fk all to do with driving - there seems to be a certain bias towards number plate infractions.

There's a special place in hell reserved for the owner of and contributors to that site evil

It still works, but the amount of traffic we are giving it is quickly killing the site rofl
