59; what's next?

So what's the DVLA's plan for next year? we've had 01,51 to 09,59. Are they going for 11,61; 12,62; 13,63 etc then 21,71; 22,72 in a few years time and keep it going for about 40 years? Or is it all change again?

Yes.

In 2010, the numbers are 10 and 61, in 2020 they are 20 and 71, and so on.

10 and 61? would it not be 10 and 60?

No, they will be 10 and 60 in 2010, then 11/61 etc - always 50 difference between the two registration dates in the year. 2020 will start with 20 then 70.
