Giving Cars names..
Discussion
None of my current cars have names but I have had some in the past
Hissing Sid - Citroen XM
Roger - Volvo 1800S
Is-U-Ain't - Volvo 1800ES
Kevin - Vauxhall Nova
My Mini could end up with a name. It's still too new and hasn't developed a character yet

Had an A40 called Payphone (don't ask), a Cortina Mk II called Arabella, an R5 Turbo called Babette, an Alfasud Ti called Gina, a Mini called Merv The swerve, a Corvette called Nadine, a Z29 called Lucy. A friend has an Eclat called Lynford (fast, black and low-slung)and had an Ambassader called Kevin and an Anglia called Eryck. Another friend had Stumpy the Imp.
Some get names naturally, others don't get one at all. Depends on the car.

My Spitfire is called Miss Marple (old woman, who was a bit of a mystery)
and my first car, a Dollomite, was called Mrs Robinson (an older woman who I fancied)
As for the current batch...
500 Chim, I was told was called Trevor when I bought it, I thought this a tad unoriginal but have yet to come up with an alternative.
300zx, call him what you like because he'll always do what the hell he feels like.
Escort = scrote, because it's just a manky old ball bag!!

We had a Corsair that we called "Nancy" - short for "Rustynancy" just after my Dad read Don Quixote...
Don't usually give cars names - the last was my 2.9 Granada - "The Blue Bomber" it was nicknamed at work because I kept getting from A to B in impossibly short times...
Sorry to go off topic but I love your number plate mate
