Ok boys, I need your help.

My man’s birthday is coming up, I have in the range of £150/£200, any suggestions?

Strange 2 1/2 hours have passed and not a word from Mungo welcoming our new lady guest here.

Hi Kat Welcome to Pistonheads.

For that price range how about one of them Redletter day things. Skydiving or Race driving?

Thanks for the welcome.

Suggestions so far. Hooker- completely unnecessary. Beer- goes without saying.

Excursions, ok driving things might be good-, my man has just had to part with his lotus, very upset about it, so what from a bloke perspective would be your ideal day out.

Kat, Ideas in your area
www.banzaievents.com/motor-days.html
Lots to do there. Cheap for a full day too.

THRUXTON
Search for their website. They have loads of good driving experiences.

Or how about rent him a nice car for the day from somewhere like Bespokes etc and then book a hotel in the Country for him to drive you both to.

(Im just suggesting the things I wouldnt mind getting because its my Birthday soon!)

Hi Kat

Try Red letter days, they offer all sorts of 'experiences' ranging from flying lessons to driving days, zorbing, and god only know what else.

Alternatively, pick something of interest to your fella, and contact a company directly. I got a flying lesson for my dad at the local airport which cost a little less than a red letter day for twice the time in the air.

Alternatively, I work for Ann Summers, if you wanted an 'alternative' gift

Kat,

You're not my missus are you - using a madeup name? Seeing as it is my Birthday and I've had to part with my lotus recently...hmmmmm

I'll play it safe - he'd like permission to get the Lotus back and also if you can find some cash for him to help with it - he'd like that too.... oh, and suprise me, I mean -him with a nice wake up call on my/his birthday.

Sorry about the previous post... can imagine what I was thinking

Agree with earlier suggestions of anything involving engines. Personally, would prefer the flying variety as it is so far removed from what most blokes can do on a day to day basis (unless you're both loaded with a jet in the back yard?). Some caution required though - if he gets the bug it'll become expensive!

Other option is for you both to go for a long weekend somewhere (Dublin, Prague, Amsterdam etc). Shouldn't take long to find something reasonable on the web (should get a few nights in a nice hotel in Dublin for your budget - we did last year!).

Thanks for the suggestions, I have managed to succesfully waste most of my work day flipping through websites. I am liking the idea of days spent either driving around in tanks, or whizzing around on quad bikes. I am however inclined to think I am being a bit Homerish on this one, as I am sure the other half would actually prefer a track day in something very fast, and I just fancy myself as a bit of a Lara.
