Hi All

I need some advice from fellow PH'ers.

have been given the list below as my next comapany car - I currently drive a Mondeo and am gutted there is not one on the list as its really nice to drive, really roomy and handles like a dream.

I'm 37 have two kids; boy 4 and girl 7 weeks old so am thinking about the Insignia as its the biggest 'family' type car and I think they look nice to boot.

A BMW would be nice but the 1 series is perhaps a bit small and its a bit old now isn't it - same with the Audi A3.

Golf Estate would be roony enough but it looks so bland to my eyes.

What would you suggest?

Manufacturer Model Variant CO2 MPG P11D
Audi A3 A3 Diesel Sportback 2.0 TDI SE 5dr (Start Stop) 115 64.2 £21,280.00

Bmw 1 Series 1 Series Diesel Hatchback 118d Se 5dr 119 62.8 £22,175.00

Volkswagen Golf Golf Diesel Estate 2.0 Tdi 140 Se 5dr 128 57.6 £21,244.00

Volkswagen Golf Golf Diesel Hatchback 2.0 Tdi 140 Gt 5dr 126 58.9 £21,755.00

Toyota Auris 1.8 VVTi Hybrid T4 5dr CVT Auto (89g/km) 89 74.3 £19,493.00

Vauxhall Insigina Diesel Hatchback 2.0 CDTi Exclusiv 5dr133 56.5 20.634.00

Cheers

Defo Insignia.

Don't even need to think about it really.

I'd probably go for the Insignia. Is there any scope for you putting a bit of cash in for some extras? If it's a 3 year lease it might be worth it.

Looks similar to our list.

The 1 series and A3 are there 'cos they're the nod to the low CO2 brigade.

That leaves you with a insignia that is the only one big enough.

But then you're back to 20% BIK.

That's why i opted out.

The lowest banding here has a focus in it. I wanted to trade down 4 bands and have a focus but pay for an upgrade to a C-max. Company wouldn't do it.

As above look at the BIK tax. Insignias might look cheap on the list price and come well spec'd £ for £ but you end up paying for it.

They've just released the limited edition 'Technik' which comes with sat nav, sports seats, steering wheel, bluetooth handsfree, general facelift.

One of the cheapest cars to run, as the Technik is designed with this in mind (even the tyres).

New-model C-Max 1.6TDCIs are very good news on the tax front - 119 g/km CO2

Given that list, if I were the OP, I would take the cash and keep the mondeo.
