Hello axemen!

Want a moment of infamy, infamy, they've all got it infamy?

Well we have an opening for a 'lead' guitarist for the Pistonheads house band for Pistonfest.

So who's up for joining 'The Flaming Gatsos'

You will need to be awesomely talented, confident and able to bring your own instument. Looks unimportant 'cos I can supply

You need to be able to play in a scratch band i.e. dont expect a rehearsal; it's 'get on that stage you plank spanker' and you deliver. For about 30-40 minutes.

How hard can it be?

I could spend hours thinking up a devastatingly witty riposte.

But I think I will stick with my first thought...which was

Fk off you tt!

Why thank you!

Here's my audition tape:

Do I get the job?

And are you serious? What's the repetoire? Surely a rehearsal or two is possible...etc etc

There may be a rehearsal - but the ability to busk a set of standards is necessary.

I'd like 'The Flaming Gatsos' to be reasonably representative of the forum so there is no regional bias. As long as you are game and can play in a scratch band you will get in.

As 'The Flaming Gatso's' will you also be required to dress up as a 6 foot rabbit?

Could you post up a list of the "standards" you expect to be involved? Are we talking Smoke On The Water or Mustang Sally here?

I can't promise BTW - but I haven't played live in quite a while - and really rather fancy it...

I'd be up for that

As usual, shameless plug...

Is the ability to busk 'Kashmir' a requirement?

Don,

Last year, the rehersal consisted of us sitting in a field trying to teach Hannah the words

I have just rung my best mate Jimmy Page, he said he would come along for a jam but regrets he will be too busy dyeing his hair that night............
