What was the camel’s ’Ring time?
It was only there in case it broke down, it is a break down company run in Morocco called "Camel-Tow".

I'm sure it will be great, but one thing that has put me off long term ownership of a turbo era 911 is that the turbos seem to a go a lot.

Was this confined to the 991.2, or is it a problem with the 992 as well?
Totally agree, given that most garages are incapable of fixing simple problems on regular IC engined cars, things like this with; Turbo engines, complex gearboxes that integrate hybrid power off take, even more complex electronics and a bank of batteries, I would say risk of failures and risk of expensive and protracted repairs become a bigger risk.

I will stick to IC cars, and eventually kicking and screaming, get a full electric for commuting keeping the old IC sports cars for for nostalgic polluting drives :-)

Completely agree, I'm just there already. IMO a few years from now all these hybrids are going to be a ruinous proposition to keep running. You'll be getting fvcked by governments and councils for still having an ICE, your high voltage battery, motor, inverters and controllers will be obsolete and things are going to start going wrong, that no one, other than OEM, are going to be able to fix.

Could they not have found an angle for the publicity shot that didn't feature the word "Hyundai" in the background?

Yeah, the idiots. I’m going to sell my Porsche and buy a Hyundai.
