'Heated Aquablades' for my Volvo V60. £115 a pair. rage

That was from wiperblades.co.uk too; I'd hate to think what the dealer would have charged.

I've had this a few times, garage fails the MOT on wiper blades then wants a eye watering amount to change them.

At least once in the past I have refused and run down there with a set from Halfords, stuck them on myself, then got them to do a retest. Most recently however the car was with a specialist that was a 45 minute drive away, I couldn't get down there, and needed it back for the weekend, so had to suck it up and hand over £76.84 for a pair.

In future I will replace them every 2 years right before the MOT just to be on the safe side.
Anyone who takes a car to an MOT with dodgy tyre, lights not working or ineffective wiper blades, deserves a bath.

OK, they charged a fiver to fit them, but if it goes wrong, it's down to them.
And when they try to yank up the wipers, bend the arms and chip the paint on the bonnet because the bonnet is in the way you are none the wiser and a fiver down. Sounds like a good deal to me.
Exactly what happens if you try to lift the wiper arms of a MG4, not even sure if there's a service position.

F30/1 BMW have a park position. Switch ignition on, then off. Hold wiper switch up for 3 seconds, and the wipers sweep the screen and rest at a midway point. Then you can fold the wipers away from the screen. The wipers sit low, out of the air flow, to keep a smoother airflow, and to avoid water dribbling up the screen after turning them off while moving.

Much, much cheaper than main dealers and sell all the main brands. Always had excellent service.
Another vote for these guys. The wipers for my Z4 were £16 posted.

Unless the jets on the arms were damaged you could have simply bought the Volvo refill kit which only contains the blades.

I will next time! Not exactly sure how the 'heated' bit has benefited me...

In lower winter temperatures (the exposed bit of piping outside the bonnet) may freeze despite the antifreeze in the screenwash solution. Conventional washers get heated in the engine bay.

Volvo wanted to charge me £75 to replace 2x rear indicator halogen bulbs on our 2012 XC90 as the bulbs had started going white, the orange had started flaking off.

Think I paid about £1 for the bulbs and took about 10 minutes to replace.

If it makes you feel any better, I have to pay £50 for wipers for my E34 5 series because the driver's side has a reverse hook design that only Bosch seem to do.
