So which car would you choose from the year you were born? I want to own something as old as me at some point. For me that's 1988.

My choice would be a Porsche 911 Turbo

A slightly more realistic choice would be a Porsche 944 turbo

other options would be a 635csi

So what would be your choice from 1988?

Or from the year you were born?

I've already owned a car as old as I am:

1984 Mexican Beetle.

From 1984 i'd like to own either a BMW 635CSi or a Bentley Mulsanne Turbo.

Aw, a young 'un. This thread should be interesting, will show the age spread of the forum.

I'm pretty angry that the Merc 600 went out of production the year before I was born, but I still plan to own one, one day.

If I'm allowed to do engine swaps and other mods then there are tons of stuff I want. Like a mk2 Honda Civic with Type R bits stuck in, or tons of yank stuff with LS engines slapped in.

Oh, one of the Stair Cars from Arrested Development is a 1982 F350 so I'll go with that.

The same year in which James Dean died.

The only one I know of from 1975 is the Jag XJS. I'd have one if it was the V12!!

My first car was registered close to the date of my birth, an E21 323i. Sadly missed.
