Great to see the period photos!

I think Adam Wilcox who won the series was in the car that set fire? I'll have to ask him.

Martin a good friend and a great guy - just need to tune into the accent!

I had one of these, the ex-Gavin Kershaw car. I sold it, I think in 2007, for about £22k - Doh!!!!

I'd previously owned an Exige and made the mistake of taking it on a track day. That track day changed my opinion of the car - every road trip became frustrating, I just wanted to get it back on the circuit. But also, it didn't make the best track car and it certainly wasn't the best road car. It did neither particularly well. And on the road, I felt a bit of a dick - it was bright red and very loud and with the VHPD engine it was a bh to drive at low revs. So I flogged it and bought the proper version and went racing.

Mine had a 2.0 JUDD engine, which seemed to rev forever. From memory, it produced over 250hp and was mated to a 6-speed sequential box.

I wonder where that car is now?

Nice memories

P.S. Moderator, do we really have to hide the word B I T C H ? We're all grown-ups here biglaugh

That looks awesome, hopefully the next owner will use as intended rather than just add to a collection of cars in hermetically sealed pods that never see the light of day or tarmac until they have appreciated sufficiently in value and take a trip to auction on the back of a truck!
I agree with you but either way it's a rare thing indeed

Does look the business, but a modified VX with 62,000 miles isn't quite the same as effectively a one off, is it?

Did you sell this to a father and son? Sure I raced against this in Lotus Cup.
