You could probably save some money and import one direct from Japan yourself, you'd be better paying a company to check the car out in person for you to reduce some of the risk of buying a pup. Years ago when I bought JDM cars I bought them fresh off the boat in Southampton so I could see exactly what I was buying. I didn't think it was worth the potential saving as there are real horrors that go through the auctions over there

Anything credible or with the mere at whiff of Cultural relevance or JDM Yo! of the appropriate age is being hoovered up by the US market, where, let's be honest, they've far more disposable income than we have. The relative "value" has seriously shifted.
Would the US be buying RHD JDM cars? Or is it just the US-market Japanese cars that are in demand?braddo said:

There are a lot of cars they never got in the States, once they hit 25 years old they can be imported and registered over there. So many cars they don't have a choice but to have RHD
Indeed. And what they do, in the vast majority of cases, is buy nice examples and then systematically set about absolutely fking ruining them.Speaking of rare RHD models…

I've always loved these and have had my eye on this one, but after buying an X5 4.8is AND the 550i manual E61 Touring from this very thread, (to go with my 2010 L322 Range Rover) I am a bit long on daily shedsbarchetta_boy said:

Ask yourself why a preface lift car that came with front and rear parking sensors as standard now has a facelift front end, is missing the Alpina exhaust trims and no longer has any parking sensors at all…Genuine B12 5.7 - looks to be a Japanese import. 60 bags.

… and I suspect the Japanese history is missing…
Truth be told, the wheels are easily changed for Carrera Sport 18" wheels which look great on the 928, offer a great choice of tyres and most importantly are the correct offset.
For the money, it's great vfm. Being a non-sunroof car with sports seats is a massive bonus. The rebuild suspension means it will drive like a new car...
