Go electric!
Off-set that V8 with a week in an electric Renault
You'll have to be willing to talk about the experience though because the car will be delivered with both a video team (don't worry, they don't expect a bed for the night) and a wallbox able to charge the car from 'dry' in three to four hours. The latter means you'll need off-street parking to take part of course so bear that in mind before entering.
The car will be fitted with cameras to record your experience and we'll give you an iPad to keep a daily diary of your week. After seven days, we'll make a video of your electric experience. And you can even keep the iPad.
'Your' ZOE will be packed with interesting tech: Z.E. Voice for low-speed pedestrian warning, Z.E. Connect for remote monitoring of battery charge, Carminat TomTom nav system, R-Link voice-controlled touchscreen, Chameleon charger allowing recharge between 30 minutes and nine hours, Z.E. Pre-conditioning of interior temperature and plenty more besides.
There's also a smartphone app that lets you monitor charge levels and even adjust the car's interior temperature remotely.
Let us know why you're qualified to test drive the Renault ZOE, and why you'd be perfect for our Renault video in no more than 200 words by sending your application to zoereadertest@haymarket.com. We'll select two winners, please quote "ZOE reader test - PH" in the subject line.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. To enter, email 200 words on why you'd be perfect for our Renault video to zoereadertest@haymarket.com. 2. Entries close at 23:59 BST Monday 9th June 2014. 3. The prize is the use of a Renault Zoe for seven days in July 2014 (exact dates TBC). An electric car charge point will be permanently fitted on your property (it will not be removed post project). Winners will require off street parking for the vehicle. Winner will also receive an ipad for use during the project and can be kept post project. 4. Winners must be available for a 2 hour window to receive and return the vehicle. During this window the winner will be asked questions on their experience of the Zoe and their reactions filmed. There will be permanent cameras set up inside the vehicle recording the winner driving. Winners also commit to producing a daily video diary on a ipad supplied to them that can be kept by the winner post project. 5. Competition only open to UK residents. 6. No cash alternative. Prizes are non-transferable. 7. Entrants must be over the age of 18 at the time of entry and posses a full UK driving license. 8. The Promoter: Haymarket Media Group, Teddington Studios, Broom Road, Teddington, Middlesex, TW11 9BE, UK
Mind you, I'm sure you won't have trouble finding two suitable volunteers. A free iPad thrown in would be quite a prize by itself.
I don't have off-street parking but there isn't a footpath outside the house and with a car parked there nobody walks between the car and house, would that be ok? I suspect there's a fair few people with the same.
Need to know if I can get to work abs back.
Cheers
Jerry
I have a V8 to offset...
The car that it would replace only seems to do 40mpg around town (Despite Manufacturer saying ~65mpg).
It would have to do an occasional 98 mile round trip (Can it do that??)
Not interested in being the video bit though...so...
