good sounding small engined petrols
Discussion
Im moving away from speed and heading more towards a nice sounding car.
My mate has an old school clio 1.2 8v and the pipe to the airbox has come off and it actually sounds quite good between 3-5500 revs, and although he revs it a lot it always gets 40mpg plus.
what other small engined petrols could sound good with a slight airbox mod/panel filter, be nippy on the road, good handling and return 35mpg with a lead foot?

Small engines generally sound better than large engines due to their (usually) greater rev range. Pretty much anything with three cylinders can be made to sound good. Aygo it is
Cylinder count/configuration is more important than sizeHere is the winner btw...
