Strange leaner driver cars
Discussion
I learnt to drive in the car my driving teacher bought for himself....Golf GTI Mk1.
Was quite entertaining as I learnt in winter and arrived for lessons on my moped,
wearing thick leather boots, learned that the gas pedal was quite sensitive.
On my Autobahn lesson the teacher just said "shift through and let it rip",
when we reached 140-ish, the car felt light and the bonnet was moving I asked "fast enough" ?

140? KM/H I presume? Was quite entertaining as I learnt in winter and arrived for lessons on my moped,

Theres an instructor near me that uses a brand new Corsa VXR. I always assume they just walked into the dealership and said "give me the best corsa please my good man".
Quite the opposite, they know all the kids will be queueing up to learn to drive in the VXR for the bragging rights. One of my mates dad's did the same, had a Civic type R last time I saw him, always had a good business from it.

Impressive, especially given that a Mk1 Golf GTI tops out at about 110mph.Was quite entertaining as I learnt in winter and arrived for lessons on my moped,

Given that he mentioned the 'autobahn', I've a feeling he's not talking mph...In my area I've seen a driving instructor with a Citroen C4. Quite a strange choice given the bonnet is difficult to see in any conventional seating position. When I was learning to drive it had occurred to me it might be worthwhile to learn in the largest car possible, but I never got to test that theory.
