whose at fault?
Discussion
Other half had a collision today in the barge. No damage to barge, but a mark on the other car. I initially believed other-half to be in the wrong, but on reflection am not so sure.
On the picture she was the red, other car the blue. At some point on the bend the collision occurred. She was as close to the left curb as she could be. Car is quite long. My suspicion is the blue car was not so close to her curb.
I think it's pretty clear that one of them should have stopped. As neither did, they both contributed to this and it could be 50/50?
Not comfortable now waiting to see if ambulance chaser gets involved or not...
Thoughts?
Many thanks. We shall see what happens.
I'm told that it did not look like the other car was badly damaged. Might have a wander around the Close tomorrow with the dog and see if I can see it. Hopefully they will just go away.
If my car is damaged, it's on a bit of trim that had already been scraped so I'm not bothered. I like having these old cars...

50/50 and you'll both have fault claims on your record, without clear liability in one direction the ambulance chasers won't touch it.
Not so. You can still claim for personal injury you just get half. Any passengers would get full. Certain companys would also supply credit hire on those circumstances. grayme said:
