I'm always perplexed with these, obviously, legal announcements on vehicles that are designed to carry people.

In emergency pull flap to open, this is usually seen on a mini bus on the back door, I can never see a "flap", basically it means use the door handle to open the door, why doesn't it just say that, it isn't a flap.

Another one I saw recently on the drivers door of a mini bus "emergency engine cut out on key" I assume it is basically telling someone that the key turns off the engine, to do so one would have to turn it as everyone else does when turning their engine off.

"Engine cut off switch under flap"; seen on busses, it's not really a flap, a flap is small, the cut out switch is under a bloody huge cover.

Are these announcement just not a little bit more confusing, or am I just being pedantic and/or a bit sad?!
