Amazing. Driving through a nearby village and coming up to a roundabout. Missus points out an unlit horse and trap that I need to give way to. Good spot, I think - might not have seen that.

Off the RAB and stuck behind that for twenty seconds or so, when another comes up behind, fast. I'm going to get overtaken by this second one if I don't get past, I think, not particularly seriously. But that's what happens. Directly into an oncoming car. The oncoming driver doesn't react at all, and horse man gets out of the way by about an inch. Then carries on unfazed and overtakes the first one. Horse all over the place, getting whipped to fk, sparks from its shoes.

Reported it to 101 although wondered if it was a 999 moment. Never seen such a near miss, and never such a bizarre one. And there we have it: my gypsy dhead tale du jour.

I got overtaken by a near-invisible horse and trap, but because he was a pissed up nutjob, he overtook directly into the path of an oncoming car.
