Save the Brighton Speed Trials

There's a petition here to save the Brighton Speed Trials which are now under threat of being banned by the council. They have been held since 1905 and are the world's oldest running motorsport event.

Rumour has it that the Greens want to hold an event to celebrate the end of the Speed Trials, although I have no actual evidence of that. They still need to have cacti rammed up their arses.

S. F. Edge and Earl Howe were pre-war racing legends and Bill Boddy was a Motorsport journalist who was like a walking encyclopaedia.
