Has anyone come across this website before? Just found as I did a Google search for a car I recently advertised on the classifieds and this was the first result. Tells you the basic make/ model and place of registration information along with historical advert information including the dates and mileages. A bit like the car equivalent of NetHousePrices. Heres an example - http://www.ukvehicle.com/RX56ULT/

Useful information for a buyer for spotting clocking or blatant profiteering, but for a seller I feel this is a slight invasion of privacy? I don't really see why historical photos and information about my car should be made public on the web without my consent. They seem to be lifting the data from the likes of Gumtree and the PH Classifieds then storing on their servers. Thoughts?

Why would they need your consent to republish documents which are already in the public domain?
I don't know the legalities of it but when you publish the advert you're generally doing so under the knowledge you can remove it at any time.

Not going to win this one though, as a buyer I like the idea but as a seller I'm not sure I do, but can't have it both ways! smile
