Just had my insurance renewal go up again....

reason - reporting to the insurance company 2 years ago that my car had been damaged by a third party. A van clipped the front wing of my car whilst my car was parked. Van driver was traced but refused to admit responsibility and there was no other witness.

I made no claim
I personaly had no accident
I was not in the car at the time
The 'incident' cost no one any money (apart from me as the car is devalued)
My car still has the scratched/dented front wing
I obeyed the 'law' which states I must notify my insurers

And yet this costs me over a hundred £'s every renewal for 5 years.

Punishing the honest is not the way to discourage insurance fraud.

Well I've tried getting other quotes, but the 'incident' comes upon the insurers system as its recorded in the database that they share.

So it's affecting all my quotes. I'm paying for some one else's bad driving, and it's not as of I've incurred any costs to any insurance company.
