Took my Merc to a usual and long-standing hand car wash. On returning home there were 5 varying sized spots where the clear coat had been compromised. I've taken a pic of one of the smaller ones. Two were on near side, one nearer centre and 2 more off side.

Sadly, I thought I could fix them myself which I now know I can't smile

3 things;

1) Do you think this is sort outable by smart repair? The car is obsidian black pearl. Mainly the cluster fk I created trying to fix it.
2) I am fairly confident the damage was at the car wash- first time I've not got out and checked (was playing Empires and Allies iOS) But I'm not totally sure. The car had done a fair few miles recently and was dirty, hence my uncertainty. Any other ideas?
3) Anyone good and mobile Leamington/ Rugby/ Cov?

Pic one is the small circle around centre. Pic 2 is my woeful attempt to fix a bigger one.

Thanks,
Enus

Thanks for the replies.

It looked more like acid had dripped on it more than anything. I'm not looking fr retribution or anything just want it sorted out.

An easy smart repair, lose the top edge under the light and blend in on the lower section of the bumper.
Don't worry too much, call your local guy and they'll do a good enough job on it.
Thanks shake- been feeling lousy all weekend about this and you've cheered me up, cheers to you sir.

Do you park in underground parking at all?

That looks like the kind of damage I've seen here where stuff drips of AC pipes etc onto paintwork.
Hmmm. Left it at Heathrow T2 for 13 hours, timing is about right too... Is this common?
