I have been looking for some small little things to add to my car.
Namely:

Leather Steering wheel cover, to make the thin SE wheel a bit better and more chunky

Number plate frame;
Not the tacky BMW M MUNCHEN M POWER M M M ones but some that the true enthusiast will understand (authentic Germany dealer plates)

BMW Niederlassung München
BMW "Freude am Fahren" Frankfurt
BMW Regensburg
BMW HANKO Koblenz

I have emailed 10 dealers, attached is one from Munich:

The rest seem to have ignored me, bar one flatly refusing and the other saying that they have forwarded it on.

Next item:

E91 door bins.

Does anyone know where to get good ones of these and if they had any experience with the item. Just subtle little things that add more to the function than form [bar the plate frames, been after to those for years but never tried emails]

Has anyone got any dealer frames and if so how did you acquire them?

All things appreciated [other than hate wink ]

I don't know why a true enthusiast would appreciate an advert from a dealer you've never bought anything from let alone the car itself and a leather steering wheel cover is going to look fairly nasty.

Instead, don't bother with any of the cheesy crap and look at fitting a new steering wheel - it's not a difficult job and Ebay is full of used M Sport examples. You could even seek out a particularly tatty one for cheap and then send it to one of the guys who does leather retrims - net result, a brand new feeling M Sport wheel.

You'll appreciate that much more than a fake cover and a plastic frame from a random German dealer.
I'm not looking for any M Sport wheels, had them before and loved them but don't want to fork out £200+ as my wife wont understand why it is worth £200... just want some genuine leather covers for her as she finds it too thin.
For £260 I can buy some 17" M Sport wheels on Potenza run flats (she wants to keep the runflats!!)

The plate frames are a well known thing on e90post and bimmerforums... think Jinkster on here has succeeded... Frankfurt has so many requests they just list it up for sale on the BMW-Original Teile.

No, just like there aren't any decent sets of M Sport wheels on good Potenza RFT's for 260 quid either tongue out
They have sold, no longer on ebay.

Is this your estate or hers? If it's yours then you choose the tyres.

Inane thread with melodramatic thread title, only missing multiple exclamation marks.

Where do I post my complaint?
I'm more interested to see if anyone got the Bmw german dealer plates..

Thats what the thread was about to see if people could help me get some. Unfortunately people have just decided to be unhelpful with my question and question the steering wheel cover and make it go off topic..

Few people on the z4 forum have had theirs upgraded driving
Not an insult to you aquarianone but to most people in this thread
£100+ seems really unreasonable for me just buying a retrim for a car I dont even drive. She wants it a bit bulkier, spending £100 quid retrimming or buying a new one for £260 is going to have exactly the same effect as a £10 genuine leather universal cover.

Im not here for the cover anymore, i've already decided and I won't be convinced

Has anyone owned an E91 and bought door bins for it? Again function over form it's a fking 4 cylinder economical family car! If it was a 335i i'd have a bit more respect for it. To me it's white goods and to my wife it's the car she wanted.

---
I'm getting increasingly fed up with Pistonheads' more and more unhelpful posters that seem to think that they can be really indirectly annoying and take the piss. No, i'm not going to flounce just really fed up.

Back on topic:
Close to buying these:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B003JI5BA4/ref=mp...
For only £9.50 it doesn't seem too bad, and I might get a retrim on it or on my car by Jack in the future, right now £100 is a waste of time

Has anyone ordered genuine dealer frames from BMW Germany?

Poundland.

I mean seriously a cover and some stuff for £8.50?
Is this PH Gocompare with the 0-10 pound filter on?

What's the point in spending £50 on a cover then? At least then for another £50 you can get it retrimmed.....

What's your fixation on the plates? You said this was about function.

I don't think anyone here is been nasty to you, I just think what your asking is unusual.
