Rental fines

So I've rented a van and the next day the slide door broke. Rental company kept my 250 pounds deposit and they said they will send me invoice for the repairs and even charge me for rental while the van is the garage without me having the van because the rental agreement ended.

They said they charging me rental (when not having the van for 3 months now) because I signed the agreement...

How is this my fault when the slide door broke the first day of having the used van??

I've open them, loaded the van and when tried ti closed they broke, even manager was there.

They will just keep charging me in my invoice (wages) as they are doing the invoice for me (Amazon worker)

I dont even know who I'm speaking to, my manager saying talk to finance group...so I did and they just keep saying it's in your contract bla bla bla...i know i signed for it but .. comon....first day and door broke? Must of been done by previous driver

What is union?

I did fleet checks and pictures and everything, the van was ok no damages. It's just my how lucky I am ..and even in the contract it's said that they are allowed to touch my wages etc....I'm screwed big time ..... Feel like don't want to live it's proper piss take
