Hi, my daughter passed her driving test this afternoon and we are all very happy! She has a Fiesta 1.25 which I bought for her to learn in. Now we need to insure it so she can hit the road. Any recommendations?

Thanks.

Bloomin heck! Thank you. She’s been earning NCD on her own car for 2 years through Collingwood insurance. So that should help. Her friend just passed and managed to insure a Polo for £2k, so that’s sort of what I’m expecting. Will hit the usual price comparison sites and go from there.

Thanks All, used Confused.com and ended up with QuoteMeHappy, which seems to be owned by Aviva. It’s a telematics policy which interfaces with your phone and gives you feedback on your driving. Not ideal but hopefully will encourage her to be careful and she won’t like being told off by her phone. It was also £350 cheaper with £200 lower excess than no black box. At £1250 including breakdown cover. Added the wife as a named driver which also helped.

She gone on her first solo drive and I have mixed feelings. Proud but worried!
