Those cheap plastic England flags on your car?

Chav yob or patriot?

White vans excluded as it seems obligatory!

I was having this conversation with a few mates last night, it looks so tacky and quite frankly embarrassing.

Cue all the PH members with them on their cars quickly removing them!

Have you noticed you only ever see them on cheap cars as well?
Reason for the post was that I saw a 10 plate Merc S Class on the way home with 2 flags!

Until that point I assumed it was a Corsa/Astra thing!

Seems people are mixing up football hooligans and football fan chavs. My definition would be the hooligans were organised groups who deliberately go out to commit violent acts. You're typical chavvy football fan is someone who goes out to enjoy watching football and supporting their team while getting completely trashed and end up punching someone.

I've been to watch football matches in most of Europe, Brazil, Argentina and of course England and I have to say England is the BEST place to go and watch a match in a stadium with the least violence, racism and the most kids/families in the crowds.

On the other hand I have also watched football matches in pubs/bars all round the world and England is the WORST place to watch football with the locals! All around the world the genuine football fans in bars etc are great fun, especially those Brazilians! I hate watching England games in the pub, there are always pissed up wcensoredrs starting fights.

what a load of crap this thread is, why is it people are ashamed of this country? yes i know some pond life use the flag in all the wrong ways and that pisses me off. the thing is after over 10 years in the forces i am proud of our flag, ive seen lots of good strong loyal men die for it. why do some people think they are to good or they are above everyone else, get a grip on life and just get on with everyone.
my 3 year old gave me a flag for my car this morning, but due to me driving on the motorway alot i told her i couldnt put it on, the look on her face could of made the biggest man bubble up, so do you want to call me a chav for loving our flag? i say try and say it to my face.
tattoo101 I think you've got the wrong end of the stick here. From reading most of these posts, whatever the opinion of the poster on whether flying the flags is chavvy or not, 99% of people on here respect the St Georges flag, the armed forces and what the flag represents.

The dispute is whether by buying cheap plastic flags because the World Cup is on patriotic or just jumping on the bandwagon.
