Corvette C6.BlackforceOne

Lurid limited edition takes Vette performance to new heights

American muscle fans who don't think Chevy's Corvette C6 quite cuts the mustard have a new £170,000 option - the LOMA-Performance C6.BlackforceOne.

Named in homage to Boeing Air Force One, this latest automotive tuner excess is available in Stealth matt black, Eurofighter matt grey and White Storm matt white.

At two metres from outside wheel to outside wheel, you'll need quite a wide garage to house the beast, with its in-your-face carbon fibre wheel arch extensions and carbon fibre side skirts. LOMA has also installed a carbon fibre front lip and rear diffuser, while there's an optional rear spoiler with a carbon fibre finish that is easy to fit and detach, they say - presumably for those days when you want to use the car incognito...

With a claimed 794hp on tap, performance from the bi-turbo engine conversion is pretty excessive too. LOMA says the car should hit 62mph in just 3.4 seconds and will reach 205mph. Apparently, because LOMA believes in good acceleration in all situations rather than ultimate speed as a status-symbol, it has set-up the C6.BlackforceOne accordingly.

Modified coilover suspension with adjustable dampers and anti-roll bars is fitted beneath the body, and there's an extra 8cms tyre tread at the front and 14cms at the rear - Michelin Sport Cup high performance tyres (275/30R19 and 335/25R20) are mounted on 10 x 19 and 12 x 20-inch OZ Racing Ultraleggera HLT alloy wheels.

Inside, the door panels are finished in carbon fibre and sections of the cockpit are covered with Alcantara. The sports steering wheel has a flat bottom, and revised seats with shoulder rests are only half as thick as their production equivalents.

C6.BlackforceOne production will be limited to 25 vehicles, says LOMA.

Not a pretty car but it's not meant to be, it's meant to be stealthy and nasty looking.

Stealthy is something that this so completely and utterly fails at its beyond a joke. Its just screaming out "LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME".

imo looks good but would rather take an Ultima and an M5 in change than go for this.

It'll be too fast for the naked eye to see and won't show up on radar due to the matt paint wink

Bloody awful. I'd rather just buy a Z06 and take it to Katech for some tinkering.

£170,000 for a vette that is no faster nor better looking than the ZR1 and in the real world will not handle any better either. I'll take the ZR1 with an Aston V8 please.

Hi,

I think the below parapgraph is self explanatory.

"because LOMA believes in good acceleration in all situations rather than ultimate speed as a status-symbol, it has set-up the C6.BlackforceOne accordingly."

So my question to you is, how did you come to the conclusion that the ZR1 is faster in the real world? I am assuming it's based on the figures that are provided in this article. I thought real world speeds were determined by in gear flexibility which suggest this is the LOMA's specialty.

I could be wrong though :P

Kind Regards

Craig

Not keen on the colour scheme (matt grey or white - why?!)

Looks very mean though.

Not priced to sell is it? Would take the new GT-R and moddify that instead.

It would be nice with the stupid chav kit removed and really glossy paint reapplied and £50k knocked off the price. Makes the ZR1 look good value though as many of those suspension mods can be done in your garage.
