Harrods Opens Supercar Club

Exclusive supercar access, but at a super price

So near and yet so far
So near and yet so far
Maintaining their reputation for selling all that is luxury, super-posh department store Harrods has announced its new supercar club.

Masterminded by Nick Hancock, The Segrave Club aims to offer the most exclusive motors and service you can get your hands on.

Established in response to claims that some clubs have too few of the cars people really want to drive, Segrave promise a members to cars ratio of 6:1, so your chances of getting what you want when you want it are significantly improved.

For your modest five grand joining fee, you get some high performance driving tuition including time spent driving on ice.

You are then asked to fork out 16k a year to get your hands on such delights as the 430 Scuderia, 911 GT2 and Aston DBS, while those who want the full-on supercar experience pay an extra four thousand to get behind the wheel of the club’s Carrera GT or MacMerc SLR.

The club is currently building a waiting list before going live in January next year, but for £25k initial outlay, after a whip-round in the PH office, we are still about £24,992.47 short.

If you want to drive the CGT, SLR and Phantom, its an extra 20k on top of regular membership, so you'll be forking out 41 grand.

The Egyptian grocer strikes again. Not got 20k to spend at the moment but its always struck me that for that sort of outlay you could get a very decent sports car and have it to enjo every day.

I always look at adverts for these "supercar clubs" and i always wonder are they really worth it?

I know you dont have problems with ownership, servicing etc etc

But for instance a BMW E46 M3 is now, what?...£20,000 for a good one. They go like stink, nice and reliable?

What he said!

I'd wager e25 will have all those cars, plus more, for £10k a year and a £750 joining fee.

Anyone that joins this Harrods club is plainly a numpty.
