I've already entered.
Why is the deadline been extended though?
Probably because no one can be arsed writing 250 words for an overpriced, underpowered honda, Would be great to give it a spin, but not in a million years would i buy it when I could pick up a second hand litchfield type 20/25 for less, 230 bhp FF versus 420bhp AWD with active rear diff control, porsche brakes, and a cossy engine, no contest honda, TRY HARDER.
Why is the deadline been extended though?

I really don't care how much quicker round a track this is going to be compared to the standard type R, when you pt this car up against the like of the new Focus RS, which was excellently reviewed BTW, it just isn't going to keep up, I know this and I haven't driven either car.
PH's effort and the prize isn't the problem, and i'm sure you've had a great response from the honda fans out there (but i know i'm not the only one that baulked at the Price to power ratio), based on the figures provided by PH the car seems to be a dissapointment when compared to it's cheaper competition and would have to have the mother of all tricks up its sleeve to win me round.
If you would like, please accept this as my entry into the competition. You never know it might just change my mind on the car.
Damn! Why did I have to send my passport away for an application. I wont have it back for another month so that makes entering a waste of time. Always fancied a trip to Japan and I really like the recent Honda lineup (bar the lack of a new S2000) especially, for some reason, the new Accord.
i think honda have turned it all round... fn2 type r was slagged to high hell upon relase... but various motoring powerhouses said how great it was, with the legend that is Sir Tiff being one to praise very highly!!
then the Champ White type r was released, probably how it should have been from the off to be honest, and what a car - anyone who has driven one will tell you it'll handle with the best of them with the lsd now equipped.
this mugen type r is balls to the wind... may not be as powerfull as the others but its a drivers hot hatch for a generation that straps on a turbo for power... this car is n/a! and i would bet alot of spon-doolies that round a track she wont be too shabby?! look at what mugen did to teh already outstanding JDM spec fd2!
i have entered this comp, and probs wont win... but god knows id love chance just to see how that mugen factory is set up, how the car is set up... fair enough the car may not be as fast as the new RS focus or the Meggy R26R but i near on guarentee that the parts mugen have added are 100% perfect!
i know this is a bit of a rant, but mugen and the red H are always given bad rep in this country - probs why we didnt see the DC5 (my weapon of choice, hence the rant!) or the FD2 itself.
