Size Does Matter
Speeding Australian men cut down to size
Speeders are having the size of their manhood mocked for going too fast as part of a successful Australian road safety campaign.
The television, poster and online campaign shows women crooking their little fingers at young men in fast cars in a gesture which infers the men have small penises.
The £800,000 'little pinkie' campaign, as it has been dubbed, features the slogan 'speeding: no-one thinks big of you'
Launched in June its aim is to cut down the speeds of young men in powerful cars.
Now research commissioned by the Roads and Traffic Authority on the effectiveness of the ads showed that more than 60 per cent of young males said the campaign had made them think about their driving behaviour.

2 out of 3 of them didn't look like they were speeding to me???Anyone for a campaign calling inattentive mothers "Bimbos" ?
What about pensioners "useless old codgers"?
A poster campaign deriding how Indians, say, drive?
Amazing how the PC brigade (of which there is an endless supply in nanny states like Australia) can insult white males, but will not tolerate even the slightest hint of abuse of any other section of the community.
Screw the nannies. Think for yourself and ignore the brain-washers.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't get to 60mph and then think "yeah, let's go!" and splurge into law-breakingness for its own sake. The number has nothing to do with it, it's more about what's happening outside. In an ideal world I could just flop the old chap onto the windowsill to quell any question about reasons for speeding, but sadly i'm not quite that gifted, assuming I were seated correctly.
Plus... how do bystanders know you're driving too fast? Maybe they should insult everyone in a car, just to be sure. Do women speeders get similar treatment?
I was always told that the speed limit isn't a target, you don't have to drive at the limit and if the conditions aren't right you adjust your speed accordingly.Plus... how do bystanders know you're driving too fast? Well that doesn't really say anything does it, see ad about driving and it makes you think about driving. I dont see any evidence that would indicate it had any effect on driving standards at all.Gassing Station | General Gassing [Archive] | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
