Video: CR-Z And FT-86 Walkaround

Japanese magazine reveals FT86 concept and Honda CR-Z in detail

This year's Tokyo motor show might be a bit weak, with only Lotus and Alpina joining the usual domestic manufacturers, but the 'home team' has made damn sure there's going to be plenty of new metal on display.

Toyota has already revealed that its new Lexus LF-A supercar will be revealed there, as will its new FT-86 small rear-wheel drive coupe and the sporty Honda CR-Z hybrid.

We'll have to wait until the doors open on 21 October to see the new Lexus officially unveiled, but Japanese car rag Motor Magazine has released this short walk-around video of the FT-86 and Honda CR-Z.

Wait until the end of the clip and you'll also see the the Mitsubishi PX-MiEV concept, Nissan Leaf electric car, and Mazda's fruitily named Kiyora concept (from last year's Paris show).

The interiors are stunning, given what you look at most of the time in a car, please please can these be something like the finished car. The OLED displays and full graphics for all controls look great.

For some untold reason I have the sudden urge to empty a pot of hair gel on my head, give myself a spikey hairdo....take that Toyota and start drifting the damn thing around Tokyo.

Something has awoken deep within my being...a presence I've not felt for a long while...

I think they both look very nice. Not quite liking the rear of the Honda. Reminds me of the C4.
