Pic Of The Week: The Flying Mini
We honour Mini's first modern WRC point (and a fab spot of air)
Click to preview
Mini got off to a flying start last weekend (ahem), with Dani Sordo bringing the new John Cooper Works WRC home to a sixth-place point-scoring finish on its WRC debut at the Rally Italy in Sardinia.
Thus we honour Prodrive and Mini's achievement this week with this image of Sordo's team mate Kris Meeke in mid-flight before a sticking throttle put him out of the rally on day one.
There's another topical link here, too - the Mini WRC gets its home soil debut this weekend at the Cornbury Park Rally Show, where the 1.1-mile stage at Cornbury Park will be the first event British rally fans get to see the MINI in action.

Note the man behind a bush with a grimace on his face. I can't have this as my wallpaper now because of the pooing man.

AFAIK it's down to size regs for WRC - there's a minimum length.
Cracking picture

I think that its looks work well as a rally car - it looks truly mental - like it’s got Rabies or something!
As a road car it looks like a turd.

Anyone else reminded of how it should be done?
