Has Driven Been Canned?
Discussion
My usual tactic where Drivel is concerned is to tape it, and watch it later. This enables me to fast-forward through the crap and watch the good bits, thus reducing the programme to a duration of about 5 minutes.
As the credits were rolling at the end, Plato was telling us all what we could look forward (in the loosest possible sense) to seeing next week. As the credits finished the announcer said that Drivel would, in fact, not be shown next week, but we should all look out for some Driven specials in December.
So have they finally capitulated, and recognised the programme for the utter dross that it is? Here's hoping.....

Drivel wouldn't have been on this week anyway due to rally coverage (Rally of Australia) which always takes same time slot. More tellingly, quick glance at next week's schedule shows Drivel's spot taken by Time Team.
Looks like even Joe Public reckoned new format was too shite to bother with.
Perhaps this should also serve as a warning to those Clarkson worshipping clowns on Top Gear. Proof perhaps that people watch car programmes to see proper features on cars and motoring, not numpty antics or some over rated windbag massaging his ego by prattling on to his 'celeb' pals and cronies.
Next from the producers of Drivel, a new cookery programme showing fun dishes you can make out of scraped up vomit and a new gardening programme showing how to make amusing features out of your dead pets...
