Speed trap nabs 100mph blind man
Driver proves blindness to benefits office
It's OK officer, I'm blind...
A blind man caught in a radar trap at 100mph has been allowed to keep his disability pension after proving he could not see.
Benefit officials tried to strip the disability allowance from Domingo Merino after he was snapped doing 154kmh (98mph) near Barcelona.
He also faced having to repay a £360,000 insurance payment for the loss of his sight in a car accident in 1996. Insurers Mapfre said the charge proved he could see.
But a Barcelona court threw out the claims after Merino explained he had wanted to drive one more time.
He said he had persuaded his wife to sit beside him telling where to steer as he travelled along a straight stretch of road.

Bollox. He was caught with his pants down but theres probably a 'he must be proved guilty beyond reasonable doubt claim' for the prosecution in there somewhere

Why don't they just silently show him a picture of a naked lovely and see if he reacts?
Or make funny faces?
Would make court a bit more interesting.

So theres some insanity in Spain too.....how refreshing
so if he's blind lock him up for being so stupid as to do this
if he's not blind get the beneifts back.

What happened was that he had just found out that she was having an affair!
They had just agreed the divorce settlement when she agreed to help him have one last drive.
She said "is there anything else you want?"
"No, I have the only thing I need right now" he said
" whats that?" she asked
