Free headphones included
Free headphones included
PistonHeads has teamed up with Surrey Rolling Road to offer all users a discounted dyno session, run by PH's very own Vixpy1.

The day will take place on 15th December so you'll need to wrap up warm and hope that Charlie has plenty of teabags. Runs cost £40 all in, and places will be offered on a first come first served basis.

To book your run e mail Charlie at charlie@surreyrollingroad.co.uk

hmm, thats not to far from me.

Would anyone mind me bringing my car? some will probably laugh, but i'm curious what it makes now i've fitted a different turbo. should be more than the 217 ponies it made last time it was on the rollers.
Can they measure boost on the graph too? I dont trust my guage and i'm interested to know if its spiking. And also, can they check fuelling?

edited- all questions answered in the link. note to self, read first next time!

Be nice to meet people and have a nosey at some cars i'll never be able to afford too!

Peter, Charlie has had an eclectic mix of cars on his rollers in the past, many much worse than yours. Get you name down, Chuck will take anybody's money! (he needs it for his beauty treatment...that isnt working!) hehe

I think I can answer a few of the questions.

Dinkel, No he doesn't have a mobile RR to the best of my knowledge, he probably knows someone that does though.

Yes he can do 4WD cars as it's a proper 4WD dyno however some like mine with the haldex system might not work properly as they get confused trying to move torque around rolleyes

Can't recall how Haldex works, but its centre diff is probably a viscous-coupling jobbie, which is how they apportion the drive-bias from front to back. Scoobies have a gear-driven centre diff so the torque bias is pre-set. They should be fine on a 4WD RR.
