Under rated cars
Discussion
I`ve just completed a week in my wifes car while she has been off,and i`m now of the opion that it must be one of the most under rated cars around, the road holding/grip and handling is simply awsome and WILL embarrass many a so called drivers cars it has Traction control ABS 4 air bags aircon all the goodies you will ever require i`ve driven/owned many "hot" cars, TVR`s, Supra TT, Cossies , Tuned Escort and Fiesta RS, The Puma came close but just lost out on ride quality, ok it lacks out right pace but my advice for anyone wanting a inexpensive superb drivers car go and buy a_-----------

Fiat X1/9. People laugh and joke at it and it gets its fairshare or hairdresser comments, but for sheer fun it's one (if not *the*) best car I've ever driven.
I still get people giving me stick for the terror trips in the X1/9 induced in them. Huge grins for the driver, white knuckles for the passenger.

Dare I suggest: MG Maestro 2.0 Efi
I was going to say maestro/montego turbo 0-60 in 6.7/7.2 seconds and tons of torque.we had a rover montego GTi and that was a good car although the rust thing does spoil them.

Serious head on for a mo': I think ALL cars are underrated. Let's face it, the fact that sitting outside, we have a heap of plastic, metal, rubber and other inanimate objects that we can bring to life and control to take us anywhere we want is great.
Some do it better than others, some look better than others but I think if you approach it right, you can have fun in just about any car*
*except a Kia.

Had a 1.3 Fiesta which was was a fantastic car to learn to drive properly in. Not very quick but immensely chuckable and great feel through the wheel. My Ibiza doesn't come close for fun factor, even though its much quicker. Fantastic little cars. Until you get a tad overoptimistic and rip the front susupension and steering rack off
